Misty Cozart lives in Zephyr, Texas with her husband, Ben and their 3 children Katelyn, Blaze, and Kreed. They currently run and operate a small show swine operation, while following the kids around to livestock shows and judging contests across the country.
Misty grew up in the rural Texas town, Oplin, where she was heavily involved in 4H, FFA and showing steers. Her family still resides on the family ranch in central Texas raising cattle.
Misty graduated high school in 2000 and attended Tarleton State University where she obtained her Agriculture Services and Development degree. After college, Misty became an Agriculture Science Teacher for 14 years. She enjoyed hauling, advocating, and teaching the future generations about agriculture but had an amazing opportunity for a career change.
Once leaving teaching, Misty found her true passion for serving others while still being directly connected to the agriculture industry by becoming an insurance agent. Misty’s strengths are being customer centered and developing relationships with her clients. She thrives on service and attention to detail to better serve and protect you. Misty is thrilled to start her 7th year in the insurance industry with Tarpon Blue Insurance Advisors to continue her passion for protecting your interest by writing your personal and commercial insurance needs.
