Guy Tate has been a proud citizen of Seguin and Guadalupe County since 1987. With many days spent at the family ranch during childhood, it was clear that being involved with animals and the land was going to be his calling. Shortly after graduating from high school, Guy moved to Seguin and began working on a ranch in Eastern Guadalupe County. While there, his duties included taking care of the livestock while maintaining pastures and roads using a variety of agricultural equipment. Working at the ranch allowed him extra time to take basic courses at Texas Lutheran University in preparation to transfer to Waco, TX where he earned an Associate Degree in Farm and Ranch Management from Texas State Technical Institute.

In 1998, Guy left the ranch to pursue a career in the fence building business. Dedication to doing a good job at a fair price resulted in a successful business for many years. Although the career led to many residential and commercial projects, time spent in the country building ranch fence was where his time was most enjoyed.

In 2017, Guy got an opportunity to advance into the Crop Insurance business. He earned a license as an All Lines Adjuster and achieved CAPP Certification to be a Crop Adjuster for a major player in the crop insurance business. The job gave him the opportunity to work all over the Great State of Texas while learning about many different crops including corn, grain sorghum, citrus, soybeans, wheat, oats, and rice.

Another opportunity arose in 2020 for him to climb the ladder in the Crop Insurance world. He obtained an Agent license from the Texas Department of Insurance giving him the ability to sell Property and Casualty Insurance in addition to Crop Insurance. With a life-long commitment to protect animals, livestock, and the land, this venture gives him the ability to provide property owners with insurance products that protect the things they care most about.
